Committees -1. Show chair report: show chairman Melanie Dickey stated she had read AKC rules for show, described timeline for DOT specialty as follows:

Specialty 10/30/08- downtown convention center

Entries close 10/15/08

Ads for catalog due by mid Sept. 08

Application online to AKC for permission for specialty due 4/30/08- show chairman will not be allowed to show in specialty.

Barbara Jeleski had sent a list of the judges picked for the Tulsa show weekend so we could pick from that list for our conformation judge. Also club needs to decide on a sweepstakes judge- hopefully try not to pick someone who normally would bring entries to the show. Also someone from not too far away (since the club would be paying expenses)—suggestions = Eugene Blake (lives in Tulsa now), Chris Benoit, Joe Gregory- Club usually pays sweeps judge $100 and conformation judge $200-300-

Show chair would like to have a ring steward class during the summer so every member can become comfortable with those duties.

Show committee volunteers to date: show chair-Melanie, Obedience/Rally/performance chair- Mary Szafranski or Nancy Werhane, Trophies- Mary Switzer and Marcia, Advertising/Publicity-Kim Jenning, Safety- Jeff Anderson, Chief Ring Steward and hospitality chair not decided but Shirley and Mary Szafranski said they could help. Trophies suggested to be cash prizes in silver water buckets, since that was well received one year.  Dinner on evening following specialty, location TBA, discussed having fewer but bigger items for auction with tickets in sacks by item and draw for winner of each item.

Melanie will contact Lori to determine where any leftover trophies from previous show might be.

2. Parade committee chair Mary Switzer turned in written inventory list of parade items that belong to DOT that she is storing. Jim and Deby Harber still have palm tree and lights from decorating truck for parade- Melanie will send letter to inquire about return of DOT items.

Jeff Anderson stated for inventory that he has 4-5 DOT history photo books, and will bring those to DOT picnic at the Givens 3/29/08.

Marcia stated there will also be a CGC test at the 3/29 picnic. Club will pay for meat and members can bring side dishes.

Two applications for membership in DOT were announced to club for voting: Jessica Duff and Pat Keough. Both have turned in dues checks and attended 3 meetings – Membership voted unanimously to accept both applications for membership. Letters of acceptance will be mailed.
